The 12th Man Trailer Crew! The 12th Man Trailer Crew!
- From: moose

Description:
For those that didn't get a chance to see it this season, the gang went from a 15' trailer last year to a 26' Winnebago decked out in Seahawks colors and a 50" plasma TV. It's also autographed by the entire team. Justin, Solan, Bob and Jim did a great job prepping the RV for a season's worth of tailgating, and everybody pitched in to promote Josh Brown's "Good For 3" program and Cystic Fibrosis research. This means a lot to a dad with a 15-year-old daughter with CF

Seahawks Vs.Cardinal Fly over Seahawks Vs.Cardinal Fly over
- From: crr8762

Description:
Hi Seahawk Fans,
My name is Sgt. Charlie Ross and I am with the Washington State National Guard B.Co 1/168th GSAB. Our Airman are going to be flying over the stadium during the National Anthem on the 16th of November 2008 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
We are BIG Seahawk Fans too and as a crew would like to show our appreciation to the Spirit of 12 Fans by our crew signing a "12 Flag" along with a picture of us holding it in front of the Chinook Helicopter then presenting it to the person that takes the best picture of our fly over.
You will see the flag either on the ramp or the side door of the helicopter when we fly by and then that same flag will be presented to the winner of the best photo via mail or in person depending upon where they live.
You can e-mail your photo to: ch47dfe@gmail.com
It should take about a week after the game to sort through the photos. I will contact the winner through e-mail and then I will post the winners name and picture if I can on the message board.
Disclaimer:
If the weather is too bad we will not be able to do the fly over at this game.
I personally am doing this for the Fans and this is in no way endorse, approved or promoted by the Army National Guard Organization and is the sole idea of my self.
There will be no profit to the crews, this is a gift for the Fans.
Thanks SGT. Charlie Ross

Seattle's Best! Seattle's Best!
- From: kimberly

Description:
Seattle, I have to say, is one city that my heart belongs to. Even though I am a Floridian, the Seahawks have been the one football team I grew up on.
My grandfather and I would watch games together when Robb Thomas played. Since those days, it has always been my dream to enter onto the field of where the Hawks play. My dreams finally came true in November. I was able to visit Qwest Field thanks to Weehawk. Weehawk gave me an amazing tour of the locker rooms, the ESPN booth (while they were setting up for Monday Night Football), and onto my field of dreams.
Thanks Seattle for the best weekend of my life. Go Hawks!-Kimberly

WeeHawk in Iraq! WeeHawk in Iraq!
- From: seahawksoldier

Description:
WeeHawk has decided to go on a deployment of his own and visit me in Iraq!! Imagine my surprise as I received him from the USPS in great shape! Although he was tired; he met and danced for the whole office here at the Al Faw Palace in Baghdad, Iraq!
His first stop after leaving the office was the first stop for all new soldiers: getting his picture taken in the chair Yasser Arafat gave to Sadam Hussein! Next was meeting the Tongan Marine guards that let no one not authorized inside the Palace. Of course, WeeHawk was given his security clearance and allowed in!
He's very tired so asleep now. When I got here it took me two weeks to recover, however I don't think it will take him that long! He's going to meet my Colonel tomorrow!
Stay tuned for pictures and continuous travel blogs from WeeHawk! He'll be home after he tours the world! - Blog post

Defending Shaun Alexander Defending Shaun Alexander
- From: Haydro
-
Description:
It’s almost getting too hard to defend Seahawks running back, Shaun Alexander. It seems like everybody is coming down on him. Michael David Smith, a writer for AOL’s Fan House, seems to have a personnel vendetta against #37. Examples:
Shaun Alexander Just Can't Run Anymore
When I first read the article saying Shaun is old, I was pretty upset. I commented:
"Give Shaun a break. Any running back that loses an offensive line that dominated the NFC to carry them to the Superbowl will probably have a rough time getting back to that caliber. One thing that hasn't changed about Shaun is that he is consistent. He is there to make the play when you need him, whether thats running a 1 yard TD, or getting a 3.9 yard first down. He's a threat to any defense, and if you want to go ahead and call him old then I'd like to see you and your scrawny blogger ass make the tackle against Alexander when he's coming at you like a train."
Well, those were my comments before last week’s blow out against the Steelers. Watching Shaun run was almost like watching a feather blow around in the wind until it hits a solid object and stops. Now don’t get me wrong, I love Shaun as much as any other Seahawk fan. But where is the spark? He really does just fall over when he gets touched, it’s almost unreal.
We all know that Shaun has never really been a “down hill” type of running back. Alexander is known for his elusive cut backs and for his ability to find a small hole and punch through it like a teenagers first time with a woman without panties. But those days have seemed to be memories past.
I am absolutely tired of seeing Shaun Alexander fail. He’s had his moments this year, but it hasn’t been enough to stop the critics from calling him soft. I’m not talking about soft like the fur of a puppy. I’m talking about soft like feeling of a woman’s breast: just like a bag of sand (Right Andy?).
The solution is simple: Run really fast into your opponent. When he’s about to tackle you, lower your shoulders and hit him hard. Don’t fall over until you are tackled. Don’t stop moving your feet until the whistle stops the play.
Make that $62 million dollar contract you signed worth every penny.

Congrats Front Office Congrats Front Office

Description:
I want to thank the front office staff for continuing to make our team a contender. The signing of Marcus and Lofa to long term deals goes a long way to making the team stronger, not only today but into the future.
Now we don't have to worry about two of our best defenders testing the waters in a year or two when their original deals would've ended. And with the free agent signings to date it puts us back in the position of drafting the best player, regardless of position. Thanks, and keep up the Great Work!

Stay Focused & Healthy! Stay Focused & Healthy!
- From: mikef
-
Description:
It's never good to head into the playoffs without momentum, so a win against Baltimore is important. That would give the Seahawksthe opportunity to rest certain players for at least part of the final game against Atlanta. But this week, there'scertainly some work to do for post-season preparation.Whether it's schemes or players, theguys need to figure out how to get some type of running game going. If they can do that to even an average degree, the offense will have enough fire power to make a strong playoff run. Special Teams improved against the Panthers, & figures to be fine with Scobey and others now in the mix.
And when it comes to what's needed for a solid playoff run, the D has shown strength that gives hope. People complain not enough sacks or hurries in theCarolina game, but the Seahawks D held the Panthers to 2 field goals for 58 minutes! I love the fact that oursafeties continue to prevent anything over the top.
So who would I rather play in the first round? It seems to me that the Giants have injuries that will make things tough for them, so I'd pick them right now. But if the Vikings do get the trip to Qwest Field, I believe the crowd will wreak havoc on their offense, and our passing game will get us to round two. If New Orleans makes it, watch out for Drew, but we will outscore them to advance.
By all means though, protect Matt these next 2 games, & hope no one else gets hurt either!

ICEBERG STRAIGHT AHEAD: OR - G ICEBERG STRAIGHT AHEAD: OR - GET OFF OUR WAGON
- From: Tomahawker
-
Description:
ICEBERG... Straight ahead. Do you hear that, Hawkers?? Yeah, me too. It is the pathetic sound of fair-weather fan's fleeing the scene (AGAIN..)
You know the one's I am talking about. You see them all over the various sports blogs. They are the self-proclaiming Seahawk "rabid - true- fan's." These folks come and go as the tide of the Seahawks successes ebb and flow. They claim to be rabid Hawk fans when the team is sailing along. Yet, they are the first to jump off the ship as she lists, potentially heading for a falter.
These are the people who brag of their "die-hard fan status" for the Hawks, when we are winning division and conference championships, and then readily scorn the team with the same breath when things change. These "fans" are the ones who ride the bandwagon as it rolls down the paved road of success, but stand ever ready to jump off the wagon at the first sign of when a dirt road appears and proves too worn for comfortable travel.
I am a Seahawks fan. I have been a fan for many, many years. Like many of you, I weather the storms, the good and bad seasons, and I faithfully stand ready to champion for our team. I stand ready to cast the nay-sayers to their fate.
So, I say to you... the fairweather fan - the bandwagon fan, if you want off the Seahawks wagon, then jump. Jump before I shove your sorry ass off our wagon, so I can make room for the real fans.
GO HAWKS!!

Description:
Well, I expected to write a LONG time ago, but alas, as I sit here now, 67 days have already passed. I've been in Iraq for the whole football season and the Hawks have been playing like they miss me! I'm in Baghdad, so football choices are whatever American Forces Network (AFN) decides we would like. Needless to say, Seahawk football is not one of the choices they let us watch. Now, I'm pretty excited about the Thanksgiving Day game against the Cowgirls! AFN HAS to play that game!!!
Anyway, for those of you who know me, I'm staying safe and it's not too hot anymore. Those days of 135 are GONE!!!!! Bring on the winter!!! I carry my US Military Sea Hawker coin in my ACU front pocket ALWAYS!!!...... thanks to being "coined" by one of our members in the IZ (formerly known as the "Green Zone").........thanks Mark!
Thanks for all of your prayers! Keep 'em up! Hope to see you all next season!!! I think I'll plan my midtour break, now that I sort of know the Super Bowl is out......hey, but who knows!!!
GO HAWKS!!

A BATTLE ROYAL? BATTLE of the A BATTLE ROYAL? BATTLE of the BULGE
- From: Tomahawker
-
Description:
Greetings Hawkers - I hope your summer is progressing well and you are all chomping at the bit for the season to begin, August 8. In the meantime, here are a few local current events:
A BATTLE ROYAL - BATTLE of the BULGE: Currently underway is a SEA HAWKER v. NINER bet. The things I do to assure the integrity of our organization. ^_^
I have been challenged to a weight loss competition. The goal is 40 pounds. The bet - the loser must wear opposing fan's team logo items for one week, throughout the work area. Rest assured, I never have, nor will I EVER be placed in a position to champion the cause of the 40-whiners. That poor person is GOING DOWN!! The competition started with a weigh-in, last Tuesday.
Suffice it to say, I am slightly over my ideal drinking weight. I guess a better way to say it is that I am a little beyond svelte and can afford to lose a couple tons. So, in the infamous words of Judge Mills Lane, "Let's get it on."
Each week we will weigh in and record the progress. Today's weigh-in went pretty much like any typical Seahawk versus 49er match - the Niner's and left-coast media talk smack all week about how the Hawks will fail, and then… the Seahawks walk in and lay a beating on them. Why is this such a surprise? It happens every time. Won't those Niners ever learn?
Today's weigh-in results:
Tomahawker: Loss of 8 pounds - 32 pounds to go
40-Whiner: Loss of 6 pounds – 34 pounds to go
OH YEAH!!... I can see that Seahawk cheering skirt and foam Hawk Head looking very good on that 40-Whiner.
Weekly update to follow – GO SEA HAWKERS!!!
Regards,
Tom Spindler
